Your Post or My Post?

I’ve spent my morning reading posts. I’ve found that I no longer have time to peruse Freshly Pressed or the tags I used to loved to go into, but now am doing good to keep up with my subscriptions and write a post myself.Β  Did you know that if you have, say subscribed to 28 bloggers, each is writing one post a day, and you miss reading them over a long weekend, that you could have as many as 112 posts to read? Not only read, but then wanting to leave a comment on some of them can become pretty time-consuming. Okay, well it wasn’t that bad, because I do play a little game of hit and miss even when I’m busy, but still I sat down and went WTF?

Okay, so that pretty much sums up today’s post about why I won’t be posting today. Aren’t I just clever as hell? I overslept, I’ve spent a couple hours on this computer already, andΒ  I might mention am burning daylight and sunshine as we speak. My mood from this weekend has improved (I try not to let shit get me down for long), and I gotta get out in some fresh air. Because of this I bid you all “Adieu” this morning.

Have a helluva day!

  1. πŸ™‚ I know how you feel, if I miss a day reading I am screwed, it just took me 40 minutes to catch up on your stuff πŸ™‚ xoxo

    • That’s because I’m a blogging bitch from hell and I never shut up, Donna! Now imagine what I’m like in person. Shiver at the thought! You know though, I think you and I would party the night away if we got together. Ooooh what fun that would be!

  2. PS sorry I’ve put kitty and pissy together and renamed you pussy 😳

    • Piglet in Portugal…oh my gosh, I love that name! It is sooo cute! Pissy & Piglet sounds a little like a children’s book doesn’t it? Ha..ha..
I understand completely about hoarding emails online. My frontier address is where all my subscription post and comments go through, but I also have one for my old Facebook account, one that is personal on my blog page where people can reach me if they just want to chat, and an aol account I’ve had for a hundred years that anything and everything else finds it’s way into. That one is a complete mess. Going through it all can be maddening at times. I wouldn’t trade it for nothing though. Blogging has been really good for me. I’ve met the nicest people and had more support online than I think I’ve ever gotten in my real life. As Martha Stewart would say “It’s a good thing”.

    • That’s funny! I’ll be honest, I never even noticed till you brought it to my attention. Hey, I’m still on my first cup of coffee, sooo….
If it’s means anything I’ve been called a lot worse than pussy. πŸ˜‰ Don’t sweat the petty stuff…pet the sweaty stuff.

  3. Yep pussy, you have summed it up beautifully!

i currently ahve 700 emails in my inbox. I love reading bloggers posts and commenting. I leave posts in my inbox when I do not have a lot of time and I go back and read them at my leisure. A little like hoarding magazines πŸ™‚

I’ve saved a fortune on magazines…I have my bloffing buds instead πŸ™‚

    PiP

  4. So basically what you’re saying is since the blogosphere is possibly flooded with crap, I ain’t missing shit by not being able to read anything other than my subscriptions, right? Cool…any old excuse fucking works for me right now!
Yes…Yes…this Miss Pissy Kitty is nominated for a Fat Jerry Award! Yay for me!! What is a Fat Jerry Award you ask? Well, it’s only about the most important damn award you could be nominated for that’s going around right now! Are you out of circulation, or what? You have to be brilliant, a bit edgy, and dare I say off your rocker a bit to get nominated…and I am…I AM!!!
Yeah, okay…enough about me. Glad to see your back crazy lady. I missed ya.

  5. Spectra says:

I agree…I haven’t gotten back into writing since my weekend away last week. Managed just 2 posts (I think the wordpress ‘post a day’ challenge could potentially be flooding the blogosphere with lots of uninteresting dribble, even crap sometimes)

But the important news is, Miss Pissy Kitty is nominated for a Fat Jerry Award – for bloggers who take risks. To vote for her work, readers and fans should visit here: http://spectrumwoman.com and scroll down to the poll and, ya know, just VOTE MAN!

  6. I feel so much better having read this! I was telling Ba.D., “I just don’t think I’m going to have a solid post ready by tomorrow. There’s too much to read!” Apart from finding this crazy (why would I spend time fretting about this stuff?), he suggested it’s probably OK if I take a few days settling in and just enjoying taking in other peoples’ words. πŸ™‚

    • You, my loyal, blogger-buddy have a baby to worry about, and no one expects you to be superwoman, and if they do you tell them that Lou said you have better things to do with your time! I know what you mean though. I try to be courteous and get to all the posts, but more often then not I end up skimming over a couple, skipping a few, and then sometimes even that’s not enough and I don’t have time for mine. Not that I think anything I have to say is less or more important than anyone else, but still it’s nice to get myself out there. You take all the time you need. We’ll be here. We luv ya!

  7. Brenda says:

I know what you mean! Its hard to find time to keep up with your subscriptions, write your own blogs, AND for most of us, keep a full-time job.

Ahhh the fun of blogging! πŸ™‚

    • Oh see, there’s no way that I would have the time to blog, read, do housework, cook, and work a full-time job. You are definitely more woman than I am. Blogging is a blast though, I think especially if you’re hoping to gain something from it. I consider this a way to free my mind, get control over my life, discipline myself to writing again, and hopefully get something published in the future. It ain’t over till it’s over.

  8. You do such a great job posting consistently – i wish i could do the same! Sometimes it takes me weeks to catch up reading, and other times, i look for something to read and search fresh pressed for hours!

    • Yeah, I’m finding the only way to do it well is if you’re being consistent, and that’s not always easy to do because I think everyone would like to have some kind of a life beyond the cyberworld. Don’t beat yourself up too much. Get to them when you can and when you can’t just show up at the party to say hello like I do. Works for me!

  9. The Hook says:

You’ve read my mind! I barely have time to write my own posts, much less read others like yours.
